If you’re considering hiring a photographer for your wedding, this is a great place to start.
photographers have different styles
My talent lies in storytelling reportage photography: capturing candid emotion and behind-the-scene details for you to appreciate after your big day. A wedding day is filled with a sequence of special moments and my goal would be to capture as many of these as possible. To do so, I need to know which photographs are important to both of you, the programme for the day, as well as any surprises, special touches planned by guests and family so that I can anticipate and capture them. While most of my photographs of your day will be candid, I do couple portraits, as well as the family groups, in a style that reflects the ethos and vibe of the event, agreed with you in advance. I am also flexible and can be asked to take any photographs that come to mind on the day.
Choose a photographer you like
I am a friendly, social photographer and I bring a natural energy to an event. I am comfortable choosing appropriate locations, giving people posing advice, straightening clothing, and directing groups if necessary. When we meet, make sure you feel relaxed with me. Having your photograph taken can be uncomfortable - but if you have a photographer you like and trust - you will enjoy it, guaranteed. Listen to our gut instinct on this point!
NO HIDDEN COSTS
It is important to find a photographer that works for your budget. I charge an upfront fee of £250 when you confirm your booking which covers pre-event planning, preparing the agreement, the venue check and an in-person meeting. On the day, I charge my standard hourly rate which includes the images taken, edited and finished, and provided via online gallery. Detailed editing services will be estimated and agreed at the time of booking. Please note I do not provide any prints/frames or wedding albums. Any travel or accommodation costs are reimbursable.
